Mr Liam O'Hara

Type of Governor:

Liam is a Co-opted Governor, having previously been a Parent Governor

Appointed by: St. Peter's Governing Body in June 2014

Term of Office: Ends 6th June 2018

What experience does Liam bring to the Governing Body?

Liam was made a Co-opted Governor because of his previous governor experience and his professional financial skills. Liam is responsible for ensuring that the school finances are used to further the objectives of the school laid out by the Headteacher and the Governing Body.

Prior to joining the Governing Body Liam was an active member of the P.P.T.A. for many years, acting specifically as the ‘Treasurer’ of their committee.

On a more personal note Lima's three children have all attended St. Peter’s. His youngest daughter, Eliza, is currently in Year 8 at Cardinal Newman. Liam's older two childen both went on to Cardinal Newman and subsequently further higher education. His son, Greg, is currently studying for his Masters Degree in Film Script Writing at Liverpool John Moores and his daughter, Claudia, is in her second year at Priestley College studying for her ALevels. Liam's wife, Rachel, has worked as a secretary in the School Office for the last 13 years.

Liam attends regular Governor training to keep updated with the appropriate legislation and to develop ‘best practice’ ideas.

"I believe St. Peter’s is an excellent school which provides a good all-round education for our children and as a Governor my role is to support and challenge which therefore ensures that this is maintained."
