Remembrance Day

On Friday 6th November two children from Sir Thomas Boteler, along with Mr Horrigan, one of our goverenors, visited our Year 5 and 6 children to talk about the importance of Remembraqnce Day. They introduced their talk with a powerpoint about their recent visit to the war memorials in France, and what this had meant to them, and the importance of this memorial, not just to them, but to the families of the fallen soldiers. It was an eye-opening talk and it gave us the opportunity to discuss and ask questions about war memorials, the World Wars and Remembrance Day.

Mrs Lea also gave an assembly on Remembrance Day and the affect the World Wars had on the people involved, and how it effected the course of history.
