Advent Prayers
Our Year 2 and Year 6 children shared their beautiful Advent prayers in our Service of Reconciliation this morning. Father Mark and Deacon Jim complimented our children’s singing. We are all ready to let Jesus into our hearts at Christmas.
Woolston Schools Carol Concert
What a lovely community event at Woolston Church of the Ascension last night. The children from St. Peter’s and Woolston C of E joined together to sing carols for our school communities. Fabulous singing by all.
Reconciliation Mass
A lovely Reconciliation Service this morning with Father Mark and Deacon Jim. We had time to reflect whilst burning our sins and asking for forgiveness during Advent. Year 2 and Year 6 led us in prayer and we ended with ‘My Lighthouse’.
Travelling Nativity Set
The chaplaincy team delivered the travelling nativity sets to each class. The children are excited to use the them to retell the story of the birth of Jesus at home.
Cardinal Newman Catholic High School Workshop
Thank you to the Chaplaincy Team from Cardinal Newman Catholic High School for sharing scripture and thoughtful activities with our Foundation Stage, Year 1 and Year 2 children to help further their understanding the story of the very first Christmas.
Lighting of the Advent Wreath
The oldest and youngest pupils in our school lit the first candle in the Advent wreath during mass today. We will continue to light the candles on the Advent Wreath each week.
Special Friends at Christmas
Foundation Stage and their Year 6 special friends have decorated the Christmas tree in our main entrance this morning. Haven’t they done a beautiful job? They all enjoyed looking at and talking about our crib.
Nativity Scene
Year 5 Gospel Performance
Year 5 performed the Gospel songs that they have been learning for the last two terms with Mel from Accent Music Hub to the rest of the school. They were amazing!
Pilgrims of Hope
Our new art installation is now on display in the hall ready to launch the Jubilee Year, ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Thank you to all our children for working together to create this amazing piece of artwork.
R.E. Information Evening
We held an R.E. Information Evening for our parents, parish and governors. We shared our new Religious Education curriculum, what Collective Worship looks like at St. Peter’s and our Catholic Life in school.
Harvest 2024
Our Christian Neighbours - Samaritan's Purse
As part of their R.E. learning, Year 2 learnt about their Christian neighbours around the world and how they can care for others. They voted for Samaritan's Purse to be their chosen charity and decided to hold a cake sale in order to raise money.
Father Mark Foundation Stage Visit
We had a lovely visitor in Foundation Stage today! Father Mark came in to talk to us about the Church family to help us with our current learning in our R.E. lessons. Father Mark enjoyed hearing us sing ‘God’s Love is’ too!

KS1 had a visit from Mary's Meals and heard how this charity helps children all over the world to go to school and have enough food to eat. They are going to join in with their Pray in May campaign and share what they’ve learned with their families.

Good Shepherd Fundraising Day
Talent Show
St. Peter's held their annual talent show to help raise money for Nugent Care's Good Shepherd Appeal. The acts were amazing and all the children had great fun, both taking part and watching.
Easter Egg Raffle
St. Peter's annual Easter egg raffle was a huge success. Thank you to everybody that bought tickets for Nugent Care.
Presentation Mass
Year 4 Retreat
Year 4 enjoyed a great day at their retreat at St. Peter and Michael's Catholic Church following the theme of ‘Let our Light Shine’. They started the day with some ice breaker challenges.
Interactive Prayer Stations
Year 5 prepared for Easter by taking part in interactive prayer stations led by Cardinal Newman Catholic High School. This involved reflecting, creating and praying.
Gospel Singing - Prayer through Song
Year 5 really did let their lights shine in their Gospel performance, singing a selection of different Gospel songs including a song while performing British Sign Language and showing how they could sing acapella while using body percussion.
