Children's Guidelines for Remote Learning
- All home learning is compulsory and must be completed and uploaded to either Google Classrooms, SeeSaw or Tapestry (Foundation Stage) each day, unless you are too ill to do so.
- When completing all home learning, you must be sat in a practical place at a table or desk in a quiet, appropraite setting which is free from distractions. No televisions on in the background please.
- Have all equipment (pen, pencil, paper, etc.) ready before you start your lesson, whether it is on Zoom or independently.
- When attending a Zoom lesson, you must be dressed appropriately with a neutral background (no virtual backgrounds).
- Before attending Zoom lessons, ensure the device you are using is charged, or plugged in and charging.
- Before the start of a Zoom lesson you will receive a link from your teacher via Google Classrooms or SeeSaw.
- In order to ensure that your learning isn’t affected, you might need to try and solve certain issues on your own, or by asking your parents/ guardians. You could also ask any older brothers or sisters if they can help.
- If your internet stops working - Ask for a parent/ guardians help. Disconnect from your home internet then reconnect. Often this is all that is needed to reboot the connection. If this doesn’t work, try turning off your wireless router for 30 seconds.
- If you cannot hear your teacher’s audio - Check to see if your device volume is turned up, or make sure that you haven’t muted the lesson. Alternatively, shut down and restart Zoom. If you do need to leave Zoom in the middle of a lesson due to this issue, please use the chat function on Zoom to send your teacher a message first.
- If your microphone isn't working - Check to see if you are muted. Alternatively, shut down and restart Zoom. If you do need to leave Zoom in the middle of a lesson due to this issue, please use the chat function on Zoom to send your teacher a message first.
