Send My Friend to School Campaign
On Friday 7th July our local MP, Helen Jones, came in to visit Year 3, who wanted to talk to her about the Send My Friend to School Campaign and asked her to pledge her support to this. This also tied in to the campaigns 'Week of Action'.
World governments have promised that by 2030 all children worldwide would be able to go to school, but this promise is already running 54 years behind, with the main obstacle being money. Currently there are around 263 million children worldwide who are not accessing school, or recieving a good, quality education. Year 3 realise how important having an education is and in doing so have raised awareness of this within school, and local government.
