Year 1 Christopher Columbus Day
On Monday 14th October, Year 1 had a Christopher Columbus Day. They used maps to find various areas around our school grounds, just like the sailors would have used maps. They designed their own flag for their ships, used word mats to help them write about what they had learnt and even used compasses to navigate around our school field, including how to look for the 4 main compass points. They all had a great day!
